The body of the Model merges with the draperies, and the roundness of her
body works with the familiar rectanglar foils of picture frames, a mirror, and
drawings pinned to the wall. Tying everything together is the contrast of lights and darks,
particularly as light strikes the body of the model, making the figure more angular than it
must have been in acuality.
